Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we need it, and the control you have over your data.
Last updated: 21 October 2026
Who we are
MyExamSaathi("we", "us") runs myexamsaathi.com, an online preparation platform for Indian government and competitive exams. We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy. Our business address is New Delhi, India.
What we collect
- Account data: your name, email address and a one-way password hash. We never store your password in plain text.
- Practice data: mock-test attempts, answers, scores, time spent, subject/topic performance and any AI analysis generated from them.
- Payment data: plan purchased, amount, payment/order IDs and status. Card numbers, UPI IDs and CVV are handled directly by Razorpay — they never reach our servers.
- Technical data: server logs (IP address, user agent, requested page) that hosting providers keep for security and reliability.
- Guest cookie: if you take a free mock without logging in, a random cookie lets you see that result later and attach it to your account when you sign up.
Cookies we set
st_session— keeps you logged in for up to 30 days. HTTP-only.st_guest— links anonymous practice results to your browser for 90 days.- Optional analytics (for example Google Analytics) only runs when it is configured by the site owner; it is not required to use the site.
Why we use your data
- To run your account, save results and show your performance history.
- To generate premium analysis and study plans you request.
- To verify payments and activate or renew access.
- To send password-reset emails and service messages.
- To keep the platform secure and prevent abuse.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share only what is needed with processors that help us run the service:
- Hosting and database providers (Vercel, managed PostgreSQL).
- Razorpay for payment processing.
- Resend for transactional email such as password resets.
- AI providers used for premium analysis and content generation — only the attempt metrics or prompts needed, never your password.
We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
How long we keep it
Account and practice data stays while your account is active. Payment records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting rules. On a verified deletion request we remove your account and personal details, retaining only anonymised statistics and records we must keep by law.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate details, or deletion of your account. Email support@myexamsaathi.com from your registered address and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Children
The service is intended for users aged 18 and above. If you are under 18, please use it only with the consent of a parent or guardian. If we learn that we hold data of a child without valid consent, we will delete it.
Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, sessions use HTTP-only cookies, payment signatures are verified server-side and access to premium content is enforced on the server. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a unique password and tell us at support@myexamsaathi.com if you suspect a problem.
Grievance officer
For complaints under the Information Technology Rules, 2021, contact Grievance Officer, MyExamSaathi at support@myexamsaathi.com. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. The "last updated" date above will change, and material changes will be highlighted on the site.
